SWAP, has launched out on a pathway to seek a just and fair settlement on behalf of many people whom have been victims of exposure to Dioxin through their work within the Timber Industry
SWAP have enjoyed success in the 1st stage of the campaign and currently continues to work through the process. Dealing with Government Departments to bring acceptance to SWAPS claims regarding the impact to the lives of Sawmill Workers.
“What SWAP achieved in their initial campaign is significant for the people of Whakatane, in that it protects them from possible contamination by the chemicals that still reside on these site”.
