TV3 engauded an forensic accountant to crunch the numbers and do a complete review of the studies reported results. Only to find it had serious flaws which brought the outcomes presented into serious question as these mistakes had the effect of watering down the actual impacts on the people of Paritutu.
KEY PROBLEMS FOUND:
- Participants in the Wrong Group
- Different Data sets merged
- Potential Omissions
- Lack of Certianty ie (only 28 Tests done) instead of 48 to make up the 100 tests

However the MoH carried out the study including the entire New Plymouth Territoral Authority which involved 60 - 66000 people this had the effect of watering down the actual exsposure results and cancer in relationship to the people of Paritutu and 245t manuafcturing Plant.
